At the UTS Startups Summit, OMNI co-founder Aryeh Sternberg presented a keynote focused on the craft and responsibility behind generative filmmaking. The session explored a simple but important idea: generative film is not created by software alone. It depends on a filmmaker guiding the process at every stage. From shaping the narrative and defining the visual language to editing and pacing the final work, the human remains firmly in the creative loop.
The talk unpacked how generative tools expand the possibilities of filmmaking while still relying on traditional skills such as storytelling, composition, editing, and audience awareness. Sternberg encouraged students to think of these systems as creative instruments that require intention and discipline to produce meaningful work.
OMNI also highlighted how filmmaking itself has become a powerful capability for modern entrepreneurs. Film is no longer limited to cinema. It now supports product design, education, training, communication, marketing, and social media storytelling across many industries.
For students entering a world shaped by digital tools, the message was clear. There is no longer a fixed gate into creative production. Anyone with curiosity and access to the internet can begin learning, experimenting, and building their own creative voice.
