Director of The Crow, Dark City, and I, Robot, Alex Proyas is one of cinema's most visionary filmmakers and a serious practitioner of AI as a creative medium. Following George Miller's lead jury role at the last OMNI edition, we are honoured to have Alex lead the jury for OMNI Hyperphantasia, bringing a compelling vision that merges storytelling and technological futures.

Joining Alex on the jury:

Yan Chen, Clayton Jacobson, Thea-Mai Baumann, and Professor Toby Walsh.

 “HYPERPHANTASIA” - is a major edition of OMNI International AI Film Festival, now open to creators from around the world who are experimenting and telling stories with Generative AI Tools. OMNI is requesting submissions of films between 1 minute and 4 hours using a minimum of 90% AI Generated AIGC. Films are not limited by model, software or technology - the focus is storytelling with a strong emphasis on the visually incredible - “HYPERPHANTASIA”. Selections of the winning films will be screened in Sydney, Australia - July 2026
