Canva AI Vision took place in November 2025 as a global showcase of Canva’s latest advances in creative AI, bringing together designers, filmmakers, and innovators exploring the future of visual storytelling. In collaboration with Otis and Canva, OMNI premiered a special film that highlighted how generative tools can expand creative workflows while keeping human storytelling at the centre. The OMNI–Otis collaboration offered audiences a glimpse into the emerging language of generative cinema and reinforced OMNI’s role as a platform connecting creators, technology, and cinematic craft.

The Canva AI Vision event held in Sydney, Australia at the Hordern Pavilion in November 2025 brought together designers, filmmakers, and creative technologists to examine how artificial intelligence is entering the tools and processes used to create visual stories. The gathering centred on practice, craft, and the changing workflows shaping contemporary media.

For OMNI, participation in this moment carried real significance.

OMNI presented a film created with generative systems inside a cinematic production process. The project showed how these tools can support artistic intent while the filmmaker’s voice remains central to the work. Award-winning OMNI filmmaker Jae Kingsely worked with OMNI and the OTIS sound team to create the generative film for the collaboration.

Audiences who experienced the OMNI–Otis film witnessed artists and designers working across disciplines, testing new creative processes within filmmaking. The piece was both a technical feat and a homage to the beauty of nature in synthetic resonance.

OMNI was founded to support this kind of experimentation and conversation among storytellers working with emerging tools.

Taking part in Canva AI Vision placed OMNI within a global dialogue about creative practice and filmmaking today. The work on screen made one point clear. Technology does not determine the story. The filmmaker does.
